Privacy policy

Blunt is a small, self-hosted fitness tracker. This page lists exactly what data the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.

Data you give us

Account - your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store the password itself).
Fitness profile (optional) - height, date of birth, sex, activity level, goal, target weight, and dietary preference. Every field is voluntary; it is used only to suggest calorie and protein goals for you.
Your logs - the food, workouts, body weight, water, steps, and grocery spending you record. These are private to your account.

Usage events - which screens you open and which features you use (e.g. "logged food", "exported data"), with a timestamp. Used to understand which features matter and improve the app. Kept for 12 months, then deleted.
Device info - browser/user agent, screen size, language, and whether the app is installed, recorded once per session.
Sign-in records - when you sign in or sign up we record your IP address, browser, and the approximate location (country / region / city) derived from the IP. Used for security and to know where Blunt is used. Kept for 90 days, then deleted; only the coarse location is retained in aggregate.

One external service is used: the IP-to-region lookup (ip-api.com) receives the IP address of a sign-in, nothing else.

Export - download all of your data anytime from Settings → Export & backup.
Correct - edit your profile and logs anytime in the app.
Delete - permanently delete your account and all its data from Settings → Account → Delete account.
